Our History

Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel was established in 1918 as the George D. Read Funeral Home. The original location was on the corner of 20th &  Broadway. In 1959, Kenneth Maser purchased the business and changed the name to Read-Maser Funeral Home. In 1966, William E. Dugan and his wife Dorrie purchased the company and changed the name to Read-Maser-Dugan Funeral Home. In 1974 the name was changed to Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. In 1979 a new funeral home was constructed at its current location, 3201 Avenue B.

Rick Allnutt and Susan Hughes purchased the business in January 2014 and now actively carry on the 90 year old tradition of serving the Scottsbluff and surrounding communities.  Rick's company has been serving Western Nebraska since 1998 when he purchased the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball.
