Our History



DUGAN-KRAMER FUNERAL CHAPEL HISTORY
Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel was established in 1918 as the George D. Read Funeral Home. The original location was on the corner of 20th & Broadway. In 1959, Kenneth Maser purchased the business and changed the name to Read-Maser Funeral Home. In 1966, William E. Dugan and his wife Dorrie purchased the company and changed the name to Read-Maser-Dugan Funeral Home. In 1974 the name was changed to Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. In 1979 a new funeral home was constructed at its current location, 3201 Avenue B.

 


DUGAN-KRAMER MORRILL CHAPEL HISTORY
In response to the need expressed by the citizens in the Morrill Nebraska area, Dugan-Kramer opened a chapel in 1999. The store front located, at 207 Center Avenue, was completed renovated and modernized to offer quality funeral facilities to Western Scotts Bluff County.
